About Us

What do we do?

The Skills Lab aims to improve how we measure skills that are becoming increasingly valuable in the labor market. We're funded by a grant from Schmidt Futures and the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy. The lab works in collaboration with the Harvard Project on Workforce.

Our mission is to define measurement protocols for skills that help people succeed in the labor market. We believe that skills like teamwork and leadership can be well-defined and reliably measured. Our ultimate goal is to create assessment tools that can be used by schools, universities, businesses and individuals to provide a clearer picture of people's skills.
